Be Random On Purpose

The majority of people like stability – that’s why we become risk averse as we get older, so being too random can upset some peoples sense of what they know, what they expect. But I think that’s just the reason why you should throw in the odd ‘curve ball’ from time to time.

Stability is safe.
Stability is comfortable.

Random is okay though. It’s different to being spontaneous and spur of the moment, I understand how that can be unsettling. Plan to be random. Do something different but know that you are going to do it! Push the boundaries but make your key team aware of it.

I am loving the challenge of leading people, learninig about them and knowing what I can and cannot get away with.
