Been reading the Gospels and as usual when I’m reading the Bible something very familiar seems to jump out in a new way. Read about Jesus washing the disciples feet and was intrigued that He says something very simple to them
‘I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you’. (John 15:13 NIV)
I don’t think that it relates to washing feet, it means so much more than that. Being available, willing to set aside you and giving of yourself to help another. A loving action, doing something altruistic or whatever.
Love this simple idea from a Church in America to get people involved. Check it out – its all about slicing carrots.
