Believing God Is Not Easy!!!

Plenty of changes in my life at the moment. Great fun with God though, riding the journey of faith. It’s not easy. I think maybe some people can look at Leaders & Pastors and think ‘Well its okay for them’. Like we have some special agreement with God and live in a ‘No Trouble’ Zone.

I can safely say that I do not live in some ‘spiritual bubble’ which means I do not experience the ups & downs of life and face challenges, difficult decisions and need God desperately at times to come through for me.

I hope it’s not just me but here’s some stuff I’m continually being reminded of when it comes to living the God life…

You need faith in the good times too. Not just when its tough.
God is always wanting you to lean on Him.
God’s ways are not normally our ways.
I must stop trying to tell God how to sort it out and just let Him sort it out.
He sees the beginning and the end at the same time.
God is more than able to do more than I could ever ask or think!
Praying is as much about listening as it is about talking. In fact it’s probably more about me shutting up and listening to what God has to say on the matter.
My wife & I must be in agreement on stuff. Not only so I won’t get slapped but so that God can move.
It’s not about being perfect – it’s about living the best life I can for God.
Why do people stay away from Church to ‘sort stuff out’ when that’s the very place they need to be to ‘sort stuff out?’
(hope that doesn’t offend anyone)

There’s so much more but trust me – I would rather believe in God for the issues in my life than leave them down to me or other people. No offence to my friends, they are great but they are not God!
