Do Pastors really take time off? I guess that even when we are not at home and supposedly away relaxing on a beach somewhere that our thoughts are firmly fixed on home (home being Xcel Church for me).
I love my new Pastoring role. I am growing into it, trying to understand what it’s all about. Have to say though – I need a break! I would like to say that it’s a prayer retreat or a search for fresh vision escape but it’s not. Time away is needed – just to refresh the soul, to chill, to be uncontactable for a while, to spend some time with family. It will do me good & it will do the Church good too. I know it won’t be easy but I’m sure we will all survive.
