Be Early. Lean In to What God is Doing

Been thinking about this recently in regards to leadership, church, vision and all that God has for me, for us.

We need to be early.

We don’t need to innovate. God can do that but we do need to lean in to what He is doing and what He wants to do. Vision and inspiration is never in short supply. It’s people willing to get in on it than prove more difficult.

Getting in early takes faith.

Taking the first step takes faith. Doing what may seem uncomfortable takes faith. It’s easy to wait and see before you become a part of what God is doing. Getting in early, when we don’t know the outcome, that’s a faith issue.

Early adopters position themselves for greater rewards.

Most people can wait, can be, as it shows in the diagram, a laggard. I don’t want to be a laggard. Seems like they all miss out and I don’t want to miss out.

Early is how God operates. He is never late, always on time, looking to the new thing, ready to move with those who are ready to move with Him. He is a rewarder of those who seek Him and put their trust in Him.

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him [Hebrews 11:6]
